Health
There are two different categories of analysis that we must not mix up, one is for the health and the other is either for estheticism or scaling. The last ones cannot be associated to the health because a tiny minority of people having health problems will be affected by it. Many people think that water that smells and tastes good is potable, but it is not because the water doesn't smell and doesn't taste good that it is not potable, because the majority of analyzed parameters is odourless, colourless and tasteless! From there the importance to have your water analyzed.
The main elements found in the water vary depending of the natural environment, the seasons, the territorial industrial or agricultural activities. Even if the regulation does not require any subsequent follow-up, the owner should complete or ask for a quality control of the water coming from his well. Let's remember that the owner is responsible to supply a water respecting the standards of the Groundwater Catchment Regulations on drinkable water quality, if this water is for human comsumption. The Environmental Department urges owners of an individual existing well to have their water analyzed at least twice a year for nitrites-nitrates and bacteria(either in the beginning of spring or in the fall) and also to have it analyzed for arsenic once a year or when relative changes concerning its color, clarity, odour or taste are noticed.
Estheticism and scaling
The water analysis can identify problems associated to your water like water pH, iron concentration, manganese, tannin or sulphur. It also can determine the level of dissolved solids, the turbidity and the total hardness of the water. All those elements allow us to put together a water treatment system responding to your needs.
