Surface well

Sometimes, it is impossible to install an artesian well due to some contraints (land with too much rocks or clay) or there are known problems in that area.  We then have to make a surface well.  However, that kind of well is favorable to dry out during a drought period.

This kind of well is about 15 feet deep and generally more than 24'' in diameter and there also almost as many rules to follow as the artesian well.  The well should be done by a certified professional to insure its meets the standards and your investment because a substandard well is worthless.

This well being less deep, therefore closer to the ground level, it is more favorable to contamination.  So, to make sure your water is always pure, you will probably need a water purification system.

Of course, we have everything you need to treat your water, from Ultra Violet to Reverse Osmosis systems, our store has all the products needed to keep your water healthy and without risk for your health.

Old surface wells have changed a lot since the beginning of the century.  There are now specific rules in order to make them legal.  Many people make wrong surface wells and don't hold valid licences, therefore there are no possible appeals against them once the work is done.  It is your responsability to get informed, because the government does hardly any follow-up on this kind of catchment work.  But note that surface wells have the same regulations as artesian wells regarding water analysis, specific materials used and cement or bentonite casings.
