Re-development of an existing well

If you have a problem with your well, whether it is water infiltration or water shortage, you would probably be saving a lot of money if you could re-use it again.  We, Le Groupe Roch Bernier have a well deserved reputation for repairing existing wells.  First of all, one of our high-qualified technicians will go verify if it is really a well problem and not a breakage of one of the components.    

If the problem is really your well, we would make sure first of all that it meets all the environmental standards. If it does not, than we would not be able to repair or deepen it because the costs could be as much as a new well.  Then you would have to think about getting a new well dug and get all the warranties included as usual. 

Secondly : can we get to it?  We would have to be able to get to the well with our equipment and make sure the land can support it, also check the proximity of electrical lines, of other buildings, etc...

After deciding to keep your well, you have two choices : Re-deepen it or repair it.

DEEPENING (water shortage or water problems)

If you decide to keep your existing well, you could save some money, because the piping and wiring are already there, and on different other things like excavation fees, accessories and labour.  Every foot already dug will save you thousands of dollars because each foot gets closer to the water table. 

Example: you have a well and until recently you still had enough water, never ran out of water.  But now, the kids are growing up so it means more showers, more laundries, more dish washing...  In short, your water consumption has increased significantly: you need a lot more water. 

The solution could be to deepen your well.  If we consider that every other foot dug in a 6" diameter well will give you 1.46 gallon of water and 2.61 gallons more water in a 8" diameter well; it's a serious option to think about.  You would then have more water in your well and therefore less chances of water shortage with every other foot dug.  For us, GROUPE ROCH BERNIER PUITS ARTÉSIEN, this is the choice we recommend; it would be cheaper for you  because part of the well has already been dug.

It is fastidious work: we have to carefully line up against the well and thoroughly check the well joint.  Even though it is fastidious work, we achieve more and more of them because our results are quite remarkable. 

REPAIRS (surface water infiltration)

Example: your well can get surface water infiltration or have water vein with lots of minerals like iron, manganese, tannin, color or maybe even sediment. 

Don't worry! We are one of the few companies who repair artesian wells.  We do fastidious work that has to be done very carefully, but nothing is impossible with all of our knowledge in this kind of situations.
