In 1949, with his wife by his side, Émile Bernier started digging artesian wells, that's where the well-recognized Bernier's name comes from. In 1976, his son Roch, then only 5 years old, started following his father on the jobs... that was the beginning of a love story. Émile Bernier became a mentor, a reference for his son. He opened many doors for his small son Roch who, over the years got through them, one after the other, looking further all the time to offer the best to his valuable customers.
For many years, the business head office was located in Roch's private residence. Being surrounded with water pumps and water treatment systems, Roch works many nights and week-ends in order to meet with his customers. Even through is quite busy schedule, he will still find time to offer a 7 days a week emergency service. Beyond the need to earn his living, his passion to offer a clear and drinkable water, Roch wants to keep his customers up to date about the new technologies, but only the technologies he thinks are valuable.
Quite simply, Roch Bernier has a real passion for the potability of water.
Roch Bernier is so proud of his artesian well division and the team, that he renamed this division of the company « Groupe Roch Bernier Puits Artésien ». The main reason of his pride is the excellent service and quality of the work he offers and, also, he added the word GROUPE because he knows that it is mostly due to the professional and devoted team who contributes to his success and, therefore, makes him stay competitive. And, it is now his turn to be supported by his wife who his as devoted to him as his own mother was back then with his father.
Being concerned about offering a fast and conscientious service to his customers, Roch Bernier decided to stay as much as possible in the Eastern Townships. Even though he has all the abilities to service a larger region with his well equipped fleet of trucks, his equipments as well as his qualified personnel, Mr. Bernier decided to stay in the Eastern Townships to minimize his costs and, therefore, have a faster service and competitive prices. Furthermore, with Roch Bernier's experience in digging wells in the area, he his able to tell you in advance your type of soil, and, therefore anticipate the equipments needed to do the job to minimize labor costs and useless trips.
